Academics
Designed as a pre-college preparatory program, VUB's bread-and-butter is our academic services. We're prepared to help you throughout the whole process to college entry - whether you're still looking to obtain your GED or already committed to a four-year institution.
Our regional partnerships with community colleges and four-year state institutions provide veterans with a path from interest to enrollment, and we are dedicated to helping veterans feel academically prepared for a variety of situations. Whether you're interested in refreshing your math skills before entering an Associate's Program or aim to eventually earn your Bachelor's or higher, VUB is here for you. |
Note: Given the scope of our program and our Dept. of Education designation, we are unable to serve veterans who have already received their Bachelor's degree. If this includes you, first, congratulations on your achievement! Though you do not qualify for our program, feel free to reach out to us to tap into our resource pool for post-baccalaureate veterans.

Academic CoursesVUB periodically holds six to ten-week, non-credited academic courses, based on demand from our student cohort. These courses are led by college instructors and designed to prepare you for the rigor of collegiate work without the risk of tuition fees and GPAs.
VUB is not currently holding refresher courses. Please reach out to learn about our tutoring services. |
Tutoring ServicesVUB can also prepare you for other aspects of academic life via in-person or online tutoring. In-person tutoring is available at Suffolk's Downtown Campus in collaboration with Suffolk's Center for Learning and Academic Success. Online tutoring is available via Tutor.com, which offers 24/7, unlimited, and on demand access to tutors in over 200 subjects.
