Academic Preparation Courses

Our preparation courses are designed to refresh key academic skills, allowing veterans returning to the classroom to test out of remedial classes and feel confident about their ability to commit to, complete, and succeed in academic environments.

These classes are not credit-bearing, nor can they be transferred into other institutions, and thus provide a low-risk environment for veterans to return to academic work.

Classes are held three times per year (Fall, Spring, and Summer), running for six to ten weeks per semester.

Taking a Class with VUB:

You'll receive all of the materials you need to complete the class, free of charge, including:
  • Tuition
  • Books
  • Supplies
Classes are supported via Google Classroom. All veterans must have a free Google Account (Gmail account) to participate.

Next Semester: Summer 2022 (Kicks off 6/13)

Each semester has a slightly different tailoring - so don't be surprised if you want to enroll in the "same class" for multiple semesters!

This Summer, we'll also be offering Foreign Language instruction via Transparent Language, an interactive platform for language-learners with over 100 languages!

Check out our summer semester in-a-glance!
